Websites forExercise PhysiologyClinics.

Built by clinic owners. Designed for the patient choosing between an EP and a personal trainer. Tuned for fast bookings on mobile.

An exercise physiology patient hitting your website for the first time has one main question: am I in the right place. They've Googled their condition, they've heard the word 'exercise physiologist' from their GP or a friend, and now they're trying to work out whether you're an EP or a personal trainer, whether Medicare covers this, and whether you actually treat what's wrong with them. Most EP websites bury all three answers. The websites that book are the ones that lead with conditions, lead with funding pathways, and make it impossible to confuse the clinic with a gym. Built to book.

What EP patients need on your website

Patients arrive with a condition and a funding question. Build the site for both.

Most EP website visits start with a Google search for a specific condition (diabetes, chronic pain, cardiac, post-rehab) or a funding pathway (Medicare, NDIS). The site has to answer both questions inside the first 30 seconds, before the patient bounces to the personal trainer in the next ad slot.

Condition-led landing pages, not service-led
Medicare CDM and NDIS pathways visibly explained
Online booking that takes under 30 seconds
Practitioner photos with ESSA accreditation visible
Click-to-call from every page
Clear differentiation from personal training

Each of these answers a question the patient has before they book. Do you treat my condition. Does my funding cover this. Are you a clinical EP or a personal trainer. How quickly can I see someone. If your site can answer those four questions in under a minute, it converts. If it can't, it doesn't.

Where agencies go wrong

Most EP websites look like fitness brands. Patients arrive looking for clinical care.

We've audited exercise physiology websites across the Clinic Mastery community for years. The same mistakes show up almost every time.

The site looks like a gym. Stock photography of people lifting weights, generic fitness language, hero copy about 'reaching your goals'. The patient with type 2 diabetes searching for a Medicare-rebatable program lands on the homepage, doesn't see anything that addresses their condition or their funding pathway, and bounces.

The second mistake is hiding the conditions. The diabetes program, the cardiac rehab pathway, the chronic pain protocol, the NDIS work. All buried under 'Our Services' or 'What We Do'. The patient who Googled 'diabetes exercise program [suburb]' lands on a generic page about exercise physiology and leaves. The page that would have converted them is three clicks deep.

The third mistake is unclear funding. Medicare CDM, NDIS, DVA, private health, self-pay. The patient needs to know in five seconds whether their pathway is supported. Most EP websites don't make it obvious. The patient assumes they need a referral they don't have, or assumes they're not eligible, and books elsewhere.

Build the site for the condition and the funding pathway. Skip the gym brand. Built to book.

How we build it

How we build websites for exercise physiology clinics.

Same four-part build every clinic gets, sharpened for exercise physiology.

Build the site condition-first.

We rebuild the navigation around what patients actually search: type 2 diabetes, chronic pain, cardiac rehab, post-injury rehab, weight management with chronic conditions, NDIS exercise physiology, return to sport. Each condition gets its own page that explains the EP approach to that issue, what the program looks like, and how to book. The generic 'about EP' content moves to where it belongs, after the patient is already convinced you treat their condition.

Make funding pathways unmissable.

We build a clear fees and funding page that explains Medicare CDM (5 subsidised sessions per year via GP referral), NDIS, DVA, private health rebates, and self-pay options. The pathway logos sit on the booking page. The patient knows in five seconds whether you're set up for them, and what they'll pay.

Differentiate from personal training, visibly.

ESSA accreditation in the practitioner bios. Clinical setting in the photography, not a gym. Language about assessment, evidence-based programming, and chronic disease management. The patient can't accidentally confuse the clinic with a PT studio. That distinction is doing real work for your conversion.

Make the booking visible everywhere.

A bright booking button on every page. Click-to-call on mobile. Online booking integrated with Cliniko, Halaxy, Power Diary, Nookal, or whichever practice management software you use. The patient goes from search result to confirmed appointment in under 30 seconds.

What good looks like

What a healthy EP website looks like.

A well-built exercise physiology website should convert at least 3 to 5% of new visitors into bookings or qualified inquiries. That assumes condition-led pages, clear funding pathways, an unmissable booking flow, and ESSA visibility. The bigger lift usually comes from organic search traffic. Condition-led pages rank for the specific searches that generic 'about EP' pages never could. Most EP clinics we rebuild see organic search bookings double inside 6 to 12 months, just from restructuring the content. Same clinic, same team, more bookings.

Common questions

The questions clinic owners ask us.

Most of our patients come via GP referral. Why does the website even matter?

Even GP-referred patients almost always check the website before they book. They want to see who they're going to see, where the clinic is, and whether the practice looks credible. A weak website creates hesitation in the booking. A strong website confirms the GP made the right call. Plus the website carries the load for self-funded chronic-disease and NDIS clients who don't have a referral. It pulls double duty.

Should we list every condition we treat, or just the main ones?

The main ones, with their own dedicated pages, then a list of others. The patient who Googled 'cardiac rehab [suburb]' wants a real page about cardiac rehab, not a one-line bullet point on a generic services list. We build out 5 to 8 condition pages that match the highest-volume searches, plus a comprehensive list. That gives the site organic search reach without diluting the conversion-critical pages.

Can we put patient testimonials and outcome stories on the site?

Depends on what else lives in your clinic. Exercise physiology sits outside AHPRA, which means a standalone EP clinic can use testimonials, outcome stories, and before-and-after content the way most non-healthcare businesses can. It's one of the strongest trust signals you can put on a site, and you're free to use it. The catch: the moment you share a clinic with any AHPRA-registered profession (physio, chiro, osteo, OT, psychology, podiatry, speech pathology), the whole clinic falls under AHPRA's testimonial ban, even on EP-only pages. A solo EP gets full testimonial freedom. A multi-disciplinary clinic with an EP department doesn't. We'll work out which side of that line your clinic sits on before we plan the trust signals on your site.

How long does a website rebuild take?

Most clinic websites are built and live within 6 to 8 weeks from kickoff. The biggest variable is content readiness: practitioner photos, bios, services, and fees. Once we have those, the build is fast. We work with you in weekly check-ins so nothing surprises you.

Will I own the website when it's done?

Yes. The site, the code, the content, the domain, all of it stays with you. We host it for you on a fast, secure platform, but you can take it elsewhere whenever you choose. No lock-in, no hostage code.

What happens after the site goes live?

Most clinics keep us on for ongoing care: hosting, security updates, content tweaks, conversion optimisation, and the occasional new page. It's optional. You can also take the site and manage it yourself, or hand it to another developer. We're not building dependencies. We're building you a website that works.
