Clinic Mastery Marketing

SEO for your clinic

Get found by the peoplealready searchingfor what you do.

Most clinic websites already show up on Google for the right searches. The problem is what happens next.

We fix the website itself so that the people searching for your services in your area actually click through and get in touch. No link buying, no jargon, and you'll see the real numbers every month.

What's usually going on

Most clinic websites already rank. Almost nobody clicks.

We've now been through the search data for a number of clinic sites. The same things keep coming up.

Most of your Google clicks are people who already know you.

In the clinics we've looked at, two thirds or more of the people clicking through from Google had typed the clinic's name. Those people were coming anyway. The growth is in the other third.

You're on page one and nobody's clicking.

A site can sit on page one for something like "back pain physio" in its suburb and get close to zero clicks, because the title and the little description Google shows are missing, cut off, or don't say where you are.

Google can't work out which page to show.

One search, and Google is trying five, ten, thirty different pages from the same site. None of them wins, so all of them sink.

Google doesn't know you're a clinic in a place.

The behind the scenes information that tells Google "this is a physio clinic at this address" is missing, or was pasted in years ago and is wrong.

The setup, $1,500 one off

Three weeks. Everything fixed, with a backup.

None of that gets fixed by buying links. It gets fixed by someone going through the site properly and doing the work.

  1. Week one: the read

Before we touch anything, we work out what's really happening. Not from a tool that guesses, from your own Google data.

  2. Weeks two and three: the fix

This is the part most agencies write a recommendations document about and leave for you. We do it. On your site, with a backup.

  3. Verify and report

Every change checked against the backup, Google told to come back, and your before and after in plain English.

The setup in detail

Week one: the read

Here's what we do for the $1,500, so you can judge for yourself whether it's fair. Most of it is invisible to your patients. All of it is visible to Google.

Your full Search Console history, pulled properly.

Every search that showed your site and every page Google showed for it, for as far back as your data goes (usually sixteen months). We pull it through Google's API, not the dashboard, because the dashboard caps you at a thousand rows and hides the long tail where most clinic traffic lives.

Brand and non-brand, separated.

We build a list of every way people spell your clinic's name and split those searches out. Brand clicks were coming anyway. Everything we report from here on is the non-brand number, because that's the only one that tells you whether SEO is working.

The "page one, no clicks" list.

Every search where you already rank in the top ten and earned one click or none over the period. This is usually the biggest, fastest win on a clinic site and nobody looks for it. On one clinic we audited it was 59 searches and over eleven thousand impressions going begging.

Which of your pages are fighting each other.

For every search that matters, we list every page Google tried for it. One clinic had Google rotating 36 different pages for its main "physio plus suburb" search. When that happens none of them holds a position.

Patients, not students.

Which searches are people looking for a clinic near them, and which are students looking up anatomy. One site we looked at had one in six of all its impressions on a single "what is core strength" article, which turned nearly sixty thousand of them into 30 clicks. We aim at the first kind and stop chasing the second.

A crawl of every page on the site.

Status codes, redirect chains, canonical tags, pages blocked from Google by accident, the sitemap against what's live, titles and descriptions and their lengths, headings, word counts, image alt text, and the map of which pages link to which. This is how we find orphan pages, pages Google can't reach, and the description that's been missing on 172 of 249 pages (a real case).

Structured data checked, not assumed.

Every page's behind the scenes markup validated against Schema.org. We regularly find markup that was pasted in years ago with the wrong business type, another clinic's address, or a price range that isn't yours. Wrong markup is worse than none.

Speed, measured the way Google measures it.

Core Web Vitals on your key pages, mobile first. We fix what's on the site side (oversized images, render blocking bits) and give you a one paragraph note for your host if the rest is on their side.

Your Google Business Profile, checked against your site.

Primary and secondary categories, which page the website button points to, whether the name, address and phone match your site character for character, opening hours, and which services are listed.

Who's actually beating you.

For the ten searches that matter most in your area, who holds the map pack and the top organic spots today, and what their pages have that yours don't. No spying software, just looking properly.

A baseline, written down.

The last 28 days and the last sixteen months, saved. Every monthly report from here on compares to this, so you're never being shown a number without the one before it.

The setup in detail

Weeks two and three: the fix, then the check.

This is the part most agencies write a recommendations document about and leave for you. We do it. On your site, with a backup.

  1. A full copy first.

Every page and post, including the page builder's own data, saved before a single change. Then a record of every single write we make, with the old value and the new one, so any change can be reversed on its own. We ask anyone else working on your site to hold off for the week, and we check nothing moved before we write.

  2. Structured data, done properly.

Your clinic marked up as what it is: a medical business at an address with a phone number, hours and a map point. Each service page marked up as that service, provided by you. Invalid or pasted in markup removed. Every page validated with zero errors after.

  3. A title and description on every page.

Unique, naming the service and the place, short enough that Google doesn't cut them off, and written to make someone click rather than to stuff keywords in. In your site's wording, not ours. Screened for AHPRA advertising rules before anything goes live, because a description is an advertisement.

  4. One page per job.

Where several pages have been competing for one search, we decide which page wins, point the others at it, and tidy or retire the thin duplicates. Nothing gets deleted without you saying yes.

  5. Internal links that make sense.

Every service page reachable from your home page and your menu, linked from the posts that talk about it, with link text that says what the page is. Orphan pages get connected. Links that quietly 301 to your home page get pointed where they should go.

  6. Your photos described properly.

Alt text that says what's in the photo, for accessibility and for Google. Oversized images compressed.

  7. The technical tidy up.

Broken links fixed, redirect chains shortened, the site reporting under one address (www or not, https always), sitemap correct, nothing important accidentally blocked.

  8. Google Business Profile tidied once.

Categories right, website link pointed at the right page, details matching the site exactly.

  9. Caches cleared and the live site re-checked.

Hosts and page builders cache aggressively, and a change that isn't purged isn't live. We check the rendered page, not the admin screen.

  10. Every change checked against the backup.

Changed pages re-fetched and compared line by line. Pages we didn't touch confirmed identical. Headings, canonicals and robots settings confirmed unchanged unless the change was the point.

  11. Google told to come back.

Changed pages submitted for re-indexing so you're not waiting weeks for a recrawl.

  12. Your before and after, in plain English.

What we found, what we changed and why, what to expect and when, and the exact date of the first proper read. Written for a clinic owner, not for another SEO.

The ongoing work in detail

One new page a month, in your words

After setup the heavy lifting is done, so the monthly fee isn't for redoing it. It's for the three things that keep a clinic site growing: new pages that target what you want more of, a site that stays fixed, and a read that tells you the truth.

  1. We pick the topic from your data.

Not a content calendar. A condition, service or suburb where your data shows people searching and you not showing, or showing and not being clicked. Always something a patient would search before booking, never a topic that only ever attracts students.

  2. You talk, we write.

We send you the topic and five questions. You record yourself answering them on your phone for about ten minutes. What it feels like, who you see with it, what you do in the room, when someone should come in. We transcribe it word for word and keep the transcript.

  3. Built in your voice and your brand.

The page reads like you talking, because it is. It matches your site's look, carries your name as the author (Google cares who wrote health content), links to the relevant service page and to booking, and gets the same structured data as the rest of the site.

  4. Nothing you didn't say.

If it's not in your recording, it doesn't go on the page. Every page is screened against AHPRA advertising rules before you see it: no outcome promises, no testimonials, no restricted words.

  5. You approve, we publish and link.

It goes live on your site, linked from the pages that should point to it, submitted to Google, and added to next month's read so you can see what it did.

  6. Too busy to record that month?

We build a service or suburb page from what's already on your site. You get a page either way.

The ongoing work in detail

The monthly read

The last 28 days against the 28 before, and against the same month last year.

Clinic searches are seasonal, so a month on month drop in January means nothing on its own. Both comparisons, every time.

Non-brand only.

Clicks, impressions and click rate from searches that weren't your name, broken down by page. Which pages earned, which are close, which went backwards.

The "page one, no clicks" list, tracked.

How many searches were on it at setup, how many are on it now, and which ones we cleared.

Enquiries where we can see them.

If your site's tracking lets us tie a booking or a call to an organic visit, it's in the report. If it doesn't, we say so and tell you what it would take.

One page. Three parts.

What moved, what we did, what's next. If something isn't working we say so in that order, and if we think you should stop paying us we'll say that too.

The ongoing work in detail

Keeping the site fixed

A fresh crawl every month, compared to last month's.

New pages, changed pages, new broken links, pages that lost their title or description after a plugin update, anything accidentally set to hide from Google.

New pages get the full treatment.

Anything you or your web person adds gets a title, description, structured data and internal links, the same as the pages we did in setup.

Search Console watched.

Indexing errors, mobile problems, speed regressions, and the manual action notice that nobody wants. We see it before you get the email.

Google Business Profile checked each quarter.

Categories, link and details still matching your site. Profiles drift, usually when someone well meaning edits them.

A quarterly reset.

The target list rebuilt from the latest data, the cannibalisation check re-run, and the titles and descriptions on your best earning pages refreshed if they've gone stale.

Straight answers

Questions clinic owners ask us.

What number will you report, and does it exclude my clinic's name?

Non-brand clicks and enquiries, with your clinic's name stripped out. Not ranking positions. If a report leads with "keywords ranking" or "domain authority", ask what that turned into.

Will you make the changes on my site, or send me a document?

We make them. Most of the fee in a cheap package goes on a PDF you'll never action.

Do you take a backup and can you reverse a single change?

Yes. Every page before we start, and every write logged with its old value. The change record keeps growing after setup, so any change we've ever made can be put back on its own.

Is there a contract?

There is a short service agreement, month to month. No lock in and you can cancel any time. If you stop, everything we built stays on your site. There's no plugin of ours to remove and no content we own.

Will I always know what you changed?

Yes. Every month's report lists the changes. No "optimisation was performed".

Are you buying links?

No. For a local clinic, being the clearest, most complete answer in your suburb beats links from sites nobody reads. And bought links are the thing Google penalises. Worth being upfront, because this is where most of the $300 a month SEO offers spend the money. We don't buy links. For a local clinic they do very little, and the cheap ones can hurt.

Who writes the content, and does it comply with AHPRA advertising rules?

You do, by talking. We shape it, screen it, and nothing goes live without your yes.

What happens if it doesn't work?

We tell you, in the report, and you cancel. No lock in.

Do you post on my Google Business Profile?

We don't post on your Google Business Profile or upload photos. We set it up right once. The reviews and the photos are yours.

Do you promise positions?

We don't promise positions. Nobody can. We show you the clicks and the enquiries instead.

Will you rewrite my website?

We don't rewrite your website. Your words stay your words. We only fix the parts you and your patients never see.

What do you need from me?

Admin access to your WordPress site. We set up our own login so nothing runs through your password. Access to your Google Search Console. If you don't have one, we'll set it up. If you do, we need the existing one, because that's where the history lives. Access to your Google Business Profile. For the one off tidy. About twenty minutes a month. Ten to record yourself answering our questions, ten to read the report and say yes to the page. A quiet week. While we're doing the setup, ask anyone else who works on your site to hold off.

How long before I see anything?

Weeks 1 to 3. Read, fix, report. All the setup work goes live and you get the before and after. Weeks 4 to 8. Google re-reads the site. First proper check at 28 days. Early movement on the searches you were already close on. Months 2 to 4. The new pages start showing up. This is usually when the non-brand clicks start to lift. Every month. A one page read of what moved and what we did. If something isn't working we'll say so. SEO is slow compared to ads. Give it three to four months before judging it, and we'll show you the numbers along the way so you're never guessing.

Want it on your site?

Book a fifteen minute call and we'll tell you straight whether it's worth it for your clinic.

In the first month we go through your whole website, fix everything that's stopping Google from sending you the right people, and show you before and after. From then on, we keep it tidy, add one new page a month that targets a service or suburb you want more of, and report what changed.
