10 to 15 enquiries a week, in Justin's count

Justin knew digital marketing mattered. He just did not know where to start, and in his words he felt overwhelmed by it all. A little doing it himself was as far as it got, and it cost him time and, more so, enquiries. He had known Pete for many years, and hearing him on the Clinic Mastery podcast was the final push. We took on his Google Ads, landing pages and conversion tracking, and explained it as we went. By Justin's count, Achieve Podiatry went from 5 to 7 new patient enquiries a week to 10 to 15, on under $1,000 a month in ad spend.

Justin's own count of new patient enquiries in a typical week, and his own answer on spend, from his story. It is not tracked ad account data, and he did not split the count by source: the clinic always had consistent and varied enquiries, and he describes Google Ads as adding a more steady trickle.

The starting position

Where the clinic was when we started.

Achieve Podiatry in New Lambton is an established business, and in Justin's words it has always had consistent and varied new patient enquiries. The gap was digital marketing, and he knew it.

Before we met, he says he always felt a little bit regretful and shameful towards himself for not focusing on it properly. The truth, in his words, was that he didn't know where to start and felt overwhelmed by it all. What he had tried was a little doing it himself.

He puts the cost in two parts. Mostly time, and more so a lack of enquiries. In a typical week, by his count, the clinic took 5 to 7 new patient enquiries.

The decision was not a hard one. Justin has known Pete for many years and watched his journey, and listening to him on the Clinic Mastery podcast was the final thing that helped him jump across. In his words, nothing really stopped him from going ahead.

What we did

The work, in the order we did it.

Took the digital marketing off Justin's plate.

He is a business owner and a clinician, with family and everything else that goes along with running a busy practice. Digital marketing, in his words, is very effortful and painful to do at times. So it moved to someone he knows and trusts, and who gets it.

Ran his Google Ads on under $1,000 a month.

Achieve Podiatry already had a steady base of enquiries from years of being an established clinic. The Google Ads job was to add to that base, not to replace it. Justin describes what it added as a more steady trickle, and he calls it helpful.

Built landing pages and wired in conversion tracking.

Both sit on Justin's own list of what we worked on together. Landing pages give someone who clicks an ad a page built for what they searched. Conversion tracking ties the spend to the enquiries it brings in, so the account is judged on enquiries and not on clicks.

Explained it as we went.

Justin did not want to hand the ads over and stop knowing what was happening with them. Helping educate him along the way is the main thing that stands out for him. What he wanted was succinct information and a good critical thinking partner, because he has a lot on his plate.

Kept changing how we do it.

This is a 1 to 2 year relationship, not a launch. Justin has watched how Pete has evolved and developed how he does things for him over that time, and he calls that super helpful. We include ourselves in that: the way we ran his account at the start is not the way we run it now.

What left his plate, what stayed

The work came off Justin's plate. Knowing what the ads are doing stayed on it.

The numbers

Before and after, line by line.

Every row in this table is Justin's own count or his own words, not our ad account reporting. New patient enquiries in a typical week went from 5 to 7 to 10 to 15, on under $1,000 a month in ad spend. He did not split that count by source, and he is clear the clinic always had consistent enquiries as an established business. That is why the books row is grey: steady before, a steady flow now.

His words

For me, the digital marketing side of things is very effortful and painful to do at times. So outsourcing that to someone that I know and trust and who gets it has really been helpful. And even seeing in the time that we've worked together how he has evolved and developed how he does things for me has been super helpful.

What's next

Where the work goes from here.

Justin's aim is growth, for the business and for the team. The steady flow has given him more confidence as a business owner to keep growing, knowing the clinic can fill the appointments it needs. From here the job is to keep Google Ads adding to that flow on under $1,000 a month, keep the tracking honest, and keep the updates as succinct as he asked for them.

Pete’s single-handedly built my Google Ads into a reliable, consistent source of new patients, without me having to think about it. When I had to step away from the business for 6 months, he kept the Ads running like it was his own. It’s let me expand with confidence, both in staff, locations and going multidisciplinary. If you’re a clinic owner on the fence, just do it. Less stress, more time back, and Pete’s great!

Pete has been fantastic to work with. I didn't have the time or expertise to manage Google Ads myself, so having Pete manage our campaigns has made the whole process easy and stress free. He's always available to answer questions, provides clear reporting, and continually optimises the campaigns based on the data. Most importantly, the ads have delivered great results for our business and allowed me to focus on other aspects of running the clinic. I'd highly recommend Pete to anyone considering Google Ads.
